Parliament session adjourned to next Thursday

    The Parliament adjourned on Tuesday, its session until next Thursday.

    "The Parliament voted on the draft law of legal assistance while postponing voting on the draft law to ratify an agreement between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the Republic of Tunisia, regarding air services," according to a statement by the Parliament media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The statement added, "The Parliament also postponed the vote on the draft law to ratify the maritime transport agreement between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the request of the concerned committee."

    "Acting Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen Al -Mandalawi, confirmed that the vote on the National Security Law will be next week," added the statement, indicating that "Burhan Nasser Muhammed has performed the constitutional oath as deputy MP in the Parliament as an alternative to MP Muhammed Al-Halbousi."

    The statement included, "The Parliament ended a report and discussed the draft law of the first amendment of the Iraqi Supreme Maritime Authority Law, as well as a report and discussion of the draft law amending the Drug Law No. (50) of 2017."

    "The session also witnessed the end of the first reading of the 21st draft amendment law of the local staff law No. (25) of 1960, and finished the first reading of the draft law of the first amendment of the Civil Defense Law No. (44) of 2013," added in the statement, pointing out "The Parliament ended the first reading of the draft law canceling the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council Resolution No. (20) of 2003, as well as the end of the first reading of the draft law canceling the decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council No. (175) of 1994 and (4) of 2003".
