Iraq and Jordan square off in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup round of 16 today at the Khalifa International Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar.
 
Iraq easily advanced to the knockout stages with three victories out of three in Group D. The Lions of Mesopotamia started their campaign by defeating Indonesia 3-1. They then stunned Japan 2-1. Iraq preserved their perfect record with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Vietnam in their final group match.
 
Our national team has advanced to the competition's knockout stages for the ninth consecutive year, and they now want to surpass their previous performance by making it to the quarterfinals.
 
To advance further in the competition and get closer to the championship game, our players must play at their highest level.
 
The Jordanians will wear a full red uniform with a black goalkeeper, while our team will wear a full uniform with a yellow goalkeeper.
