The Iraqi player, Najla Imad, won the title of the World Para Table Tennis Championships, which is being held in the Arab Republic of Egypt and qualifies for the Paris Paralympics Games (2024), after defeating the Ukrainian world champion, Marina Litoshenko.
“Najla Imad, won the gold medal after defeating the Ukrainian player (Marina Litoshenko), After she surpassed other players at the international level and was able to achieve two important successive victories over a Romanian player and another from Sweden to lead her group,” The media coordinator of the Iraqi Paralympic Committee, Hisham Al-Salman, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) .
It is noteworthy that Iraq is participating in the Paralympic Table Tennis World Cup with 3 players (Najla Imad, Zainab Hassan, and Russel Fadel), led by Iraqi coach Jamal Jalal, while the Iraqi delegation to the tournament is headed by the First Vice President of the Paralympic Committee and President of the Table Tennis Federation, Samir Al-Kurdi.
