Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized that the expansion of conflict in the region is due to the ongoing war on Gaza and the brutal crimes committed by the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people. He called on the international community to apply pressure to halt genocide, policies of killing and starvation, and to limit the opening of other fronts that could destabilize the region and the world.

She affirmed her government's agreement with Prime Minister Al-Sudani's vision that defeating the terrorist ISIS requires a shift in the coalition's mission towards equal bilateral relations, given the enhanced capabilities of the Iraqi security forces. Ms. Ollongren also confirmed that the Netherlands will assume leadership of the NATO Mission Iraq in the middle of this year, working with the Iraqi government to realize the new vision through the European Union Advisory Mission in Iraq (EUAM Iraq).
