Al-Mandalawi opens the nominations door for the position of the Parliament

The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, opened today, Saturday, the nomination period for the position of Speaker of Parliament.

The Media Department of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives opens the door for nominations for the position of Speaker of the House.”.

He added, "The candidates for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives are:

- Salem Al-Issawi
- Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani 
- Shaalan Al-Karim
- ⁠ Talal Al-Zubaie
- ⁠ Abdul Rahim Al-Shammari (a withdrawal request has been submitted)
- ⁠ Amer Abdul-Jabbar."
