The Popular Mobilization Forces confirmed today, Thursday, its readiness to implement any order from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that preserves the sovereignty of Iraq and the safety of its people, noting that the bombing of the 12th Brigade represents a deliberate and dangerous escalation that expresses an open insistence on violating sovereignty and effective Iraqi law.
The authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Once again, the aggression against the official security headquarters is renewed by the aggressor American forces by targeting a headquarters belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces via a drone today, Thursday,” indicating, “This criminal act is a transgression and a challenge.” It is clear to Iraqi sovereignty and the security authorities associated with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and undermines all international laws and norms.”.
PMF added, "The deliberate and dangerous escalation expresses an open insistence on violating sovereignty and applicable Iraqi law, and it is a disdain for Iraqi blood and the dignity of Iraqis," stressing, "the Popular Mobilization Forces' readiness to implement any order from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that preserves Iraq's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its people."
