INSC approves the policy of National Security Clearance Office

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    The National Security Agents Council approved on Tuesday, the National Security Clearance Office policy.

    “The Council held the first session of the new year chaired by the National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, as the members of the Council attending,” according to the media office of the National Security Advisory statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The Council discussed the topics listed on the agenda and took the necessary decisions and recommendations thereon as Al-Araji indicated at the beginning of the session, "Our duty is to strengthen security and implement the law," warning that "strengthening Iraq's stability depends on working in accordance with the country's interest."

    Al-Araji reiterated the importance of "working in accordance with what the government has adopted, and that the new year be a year of achievements, realizing the hopes of the Iraqi people, and enabling the government to implement its ministerial program."

    The session was opened with a presentation by the Secretariat of the National Security Agents Council of the achievements at the level of topics and memorandums of understanding during the year 2023. 

    The Council also approved the policy of the National Security Clearance Office, as it was referred to the Ministerial National Security Council for approval while discussing a draft of a memorandum of understanding in the field of security cooperation with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, indicating that “the Council expressed its observations and proposals regarding the appointment of the counterpart party.”
