Prime Minister's Adviser Zaidan Khalaf confirmed ,on Saturday, that Prime Minister directed to send a new batch of relief materials to Gaza.
Khalaf said in statement to the Iraqi News Agency ( INA ) that "The fundraising committee for the Palestinian people sent the 7th relief materials, food and medical materials to the Gaza Strip ",pointing out that "the total of relief and medical materials sent, about 90 tons as well as 10 million liters of fuel from Khor Al-Zubair port in Basra to Suez Canal”.
" According to Prime Minister's order, the process of sending relief to Palestinian people will continue through air bridge between Iraq and Egypt, in coordination with the Egyptian authorities in preparation for sending materials through Rafah crossing "he added.
In turn, the Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool , confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " the relief will be transported by C130 aircraft of Iraqi Air Force ,for Palestinian people with a load of 15 tons to Al-Arish airport" ,noting that "the number of military aircraft sent to Al-Arish airport reached 9 aircraft with 7 flights".
