UN Security Council has expressed concern about the spread of violence in Sudan, after announcing that the war there has caused displacement of seven million people.
The Council in a joint statement, condemned the attacks against civilians and the spillover of violence to areas hosting large numbers of displaced people, refugees and asylum seekers.
" Security Council members expressed their concern about the widespread violence and the humanitarian situation decline in Sudan, that reflecting the deterioration situation in the country "the statement added.
Since the outbreak of fighting on April 15 between the army led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support forces RSF led by Mohammed Hamdan Daglo, the city of Wad Madani, located 180 kilometers south of Khartoum, has turned into a haven for thousands of displaced people from other areas.
