Health Minister announces projects with four countries in the pharmaceutical industry

    The minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi announced Friday, partnership projects with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran and China, and great steps to achieve pharmaceutical security in Iraq, and pointed to the agreement with the minister of industry and minerals Khaled Batal Al-Najm, on the establishment of the pharmaceutical industrial city in Yusufiyah, revealed that the requests of the private sector to establish new pharmaceutical factories exceeded the 40 requests.
     
    Al-Hasnawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the ministry has about 5 partnership projects, one of these projects is between two Iraqi and Saudi companies for medical supplies, besides an Iraqi partnership with two Egyptian companies, and another with an Iranian company," stressing that "the doors are open, the last of which was for one of the development companies with one of the very advanced research centers in China."
     
    He stressed that "the cabinet is at the service of the national industry in general, and the pharmaceutical industry in particular."
     
    "It was agreed to establish the pharmaceutical industrial city in yusufiya, which represents a partnership in the ownership of land between the ministries of health and industry, besides supporting the Samara factory and supporting national factories in the private sector," he said.

    He stressed that "the private sector is very cooperative, and 40 applications have been submitted so far to establish a new factory in Iraq," indicating that "This is a big step to achieve pharmaceutical security, as pharmaceutical security cannot be achieved in any country in the world except through the localization of industry."
