Human Rights cannot be infringed or violated: Al-Shammari

    Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari said on Sunday that human rights must be protected and it is not allowed to infringe or violate them.

    A statement from the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that " coinciding with the International Human Rights Day and Victory Day, and under the auspices and presence of Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari, the Directorate of Human Rights at the Ministry of Interior held its annual conference in the presence of many figures and leaders of the ministry, where the conference included honoring several families of the martyrs.

    During a speech on this occasion, Al-Shammari emphasized that "human rights must be protected and in no case is it allowed to infringe or violate them ".

    The Minister of Interior underlined that " the ministry is keen, as an important part of the government, and in accordance with the government curriculum approved by the prime minister, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, to transform human rights into a community culture is one of the top priorities of our work, pointing to "providing all possible means of support to the Directorate of human rights and directorates and institutions concerned with the protection and maintenance of human rights and rejecting encroachment on them.
