    Yarallah: liberation battles proved that Iraq is unified

    The chief of staff of the Iraqi Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, said that the liberation battles proved to the whole world that Iraq is unified.

    Yarallah said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We are passing the sixth anniversary of the Great Victory Day, which was achieved by the heroes of the Iraqi army, members of the Anti-Terrorism Service, the Federal Police, the popular and tribal mobilizations and the Peshmerga forces," pointing out that "the tenth of December is a cause of pride for all the people of Iraq."

    He added, "The liberation battles have proved to the whole world that Iraq is unified, and this is what we have seen and touched in the battles of pride and dignity, the Iraqi people turned from the far south of the homeland to the far north with their armed forces of all spectrums and nationalities to crush terrorism and terrorists and restore the dignity and freedom of the country.

    He pointed out that "the whole world recalls with us today the heroism of the members of our heroic forces during the battles they fought against the terrorist organization Daesh, that these battles have become a model for all the armies of the world".
    He continued "On this dear occasion, we must refer to the fatwa of the wise authority represented by Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani and the great role of this fatwa in sharpening determination and rallying the people around the heroes of their armed forces and also do not forget to recall the role of friendly countries that supported Iraq and stood by it in his just war against terrorism, and do not forget to recall the role of the coalition forces that supported and stood by our heroic armed forces. "

    He added, "We must pay tribute, respect, and appreciation to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to achieve victory, and we must also extend our sincere thanks to all the wounded heroes who had a big role in achieving victory, our wishes to them Recovery and health."
