Rashid urges citizens to actively participate in the elections

    The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, today, Saturday, called on all those concerned with managing the electoral process to continue the necessary efforts in order to achieve a successful electoral process, urging citizens to actively participate in the elections.

    The President of the Republic said, in a statement on the occasion of the imminent holding of the provincial council elections, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The entitlement to elections is a constitutional consolidation of the principles of democracy and the most important means for the peaceful transfer of power, and for citizens to express their free will,” stressing that “the elections for the upcoming provincial councils are important.” Very much, especially in this period when the government’s efforts continue to build and rebuild and provide various services that the citizen needs.”.

    He added: “I urge our honorable people to come out to actively and actively participate in this electoral entitlement,” stressing that “if some previous elections were flawed, this happens in many electoral processes in many established democratic countries, and they can be treated and eliminated by practicing The citizen has the right to vote and to have the people control the performance of various authorities.”.
