MOT: No conflicts with the railway and land development road

The Ministry of Transport announced today, Thursday, that there are no conflicts in Muthanna Governorate with the two paths of the railway and land development road.

The Ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The General Company for Iraqi Railways held an expanded meeting with local government officials in Muthanna Governorate, in the presence of the technical advisory team of the Italian company PEG, to discuss the development road project’s concerns regarding conflicts with the tracks of the two railway roads.” And the land passing through the governorate.”.

MOT added, "The Development Road Committee in the governorate confirmed that there are no conflicts or observations on the two paths of the road," noting that "the two sides agreed that the governorate would provide the General Company for Iraqi Railways with approval of the path of the Development Road (railroad and highway).".

The minstrey continued, "Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibes Al-Saadawi continues his field tours in all the governorates through which the development road passes, to discuss and find solutions to conflicts with the project in coordination with the local governments present in those governorates."
