The head of the Public Prosecution Service, Najm Abdullah, and the head of the Judicial Supervision Authority, Judge Laith Jabr, took on Monday, the legal oath.
A statement by the Judicial Council, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “The head of the Public Prosecution Service, Najm Abdullah, and the head of the Judicial Supervision Authority, Judge Laith Jabr, took the legal oath today before the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, on the occasion of their original appointment to their positions after Parlimant voted and the issuance of Republican decree on this matter.
The statement added, "The legal oath-taking ceremony took place in the presence of the judges and deputy presidents of the Court of Cassation, Zaidoun Saadoun, Najm Ahmed, Kazem Habib, and Hassan Fouad."
