
INA - BAGHDAD The first deputy speaker of the parliament, Hassan al-Kaabi held a meeting with the coordination committee of the ministerial council. The meeting included a discussion regarding the demands of Basra protests saying, “The demands must be fulfilled as soon as it can be,” Al-Kaabi explained that the full rights of Basra must be included in the budget of 2019 and to have the right representation in the cabinet. “Jobs must be provided, corruption must be ended, delayed laws and decisions must be activated including the decision of choosing Basra as the Iraqi Capital of Economy,” said al-Kaabi. He also added that the cases of electricity, potable water and other services must be processed. “The investment and to activate the border crossings trading must also be included in the processing,”
