The Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Ivan Faiq Jabro, directed, today, Saturday, to follow up on the conditions of families displaced by desertification and drought and include them with relief aid.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Ivan Faiq Jabru, arrived in Basra Governorate at the head of a high-ranking ministerial delegation to follow up on the conditions of the ministry’s care groups and listen to the problems they are suffering from.”
She added, "During her visit to the governorate, Jabro inspected the families affected by desertification and drought in the Al-Thaghr district of the Qurna district, especially women who are breadwinners for their families. She directed the ministry's cadres to continue distributing relief aid to the families and follow up on their needs, stressing at the same time that the ministry attaches utmost importance to this file." In its ministerial program, which proceeds according to a well-studied plan prepared to assist and provide relief to those in need.
