Kylian Mbappe scored the 300th goal of his senior career on Saturday night.
The France captain reached the landmark in style.
Mbappe got to 300 when he completed his 17th career hat-trick by scoring from almost 40 yards in France's record-breaking 14-0 win over Gibraltar.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward was aged 24 years, 10 months and 29 days on Saturday.
Messi scored goal no.300 in October 2012 at the age of 25 years, four months and three days.
Ronaldo did not hit the 300-goal mark until he was 27 - although he has since made up for that relatively slow start by scoring more than 400 goals in his 30s.
Despite getting to 300 goals quicker than the two GOAT candidates of modern-day soccer, Mbappe may struggle to ever match the overall career tally of either Messi or Ronaldo.
Messi, now aged 36, is currently sat on 821 goals.
Ronaldo, 38, holds the world record of 865 career goals and is showing no signs of slowing down since moving to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
