Malta's representative to the United Nations, Vanessa Frasier, said that the UN Security Council will vote today, Wednesday, on a draft resolution that focuses on protecting children in Gaza Strip.
The draft resolution calls on all parties to adhere to international humanitarian law, especially with regard to the protection of civilians and children, and calls for the announcement of long-term humanitarian truces and the establishment of humanitarian in Gaza for a sufficient number of days.
According to the draft, the Security Council calls on the parties not to deprive the civilian population in Gaza Strip of access to humanitarian aid and to increase the volume of its supplies.
The draft resolution also urges the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas, especially children
