Spanish club Real Madrid announced today, Friday, that its goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been injured, without specifying the duration of his absence from the stadiums.
The Spanish club said, in a statement published on its website: “After the tests conducted on our player Kepa Arrizabalaga by Real Madrid’s medical team, he was diagnosed with a tear in his right thigh, and his recovery will be monitored.”.
He added, "The Spanish goalkeeper suffered an injury during the warm-up, prior to the Merengue match with the Portuguese Braga in the Champions League last Wednesday.".
It is noteworthy that "some Spanish media reports revealed that Kepa may be absent from the stadiums for a period ranging between two and three weeks.".
Kepa's absence from the ranks of the Spanish national team was also confirmed, which is playing two matches in the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers, against Cyprus on November 16, and Georgia on the 19th of the same month.
