The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, called for unifying the efforts and positions of Islamic parliaments to stop the Zionist aggression against Gaza Strip.
The media office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, met this evening, Wednesday, with an Iranian parliamentary delegation headed by Ibrahim Azizi, Vice Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Shura Council, In the presence of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Abbas Al-Zamili, Representative Salah Zaini, and the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq.
"During the meeting, the latest developments on the local and regional arenas were discussed, especially the brutal attacks and inhuman siege on civilians in the Gaza Strip, and the need to unify the positions of Islamic parliaments in order to stop the bloody practices of the occupying entity's forces against children and women, the elderly and the emphasis on bringing humanitarian and medical aid urgently into Gaza.”
According to the statement "Al-Mandalawi discussed with the Iranian parliamentary delegation the importance of developing parliamentary cooperation, activating the joint friendship committee between the two countries, exchanging experiences at the legislative level, and coordinating positions and efforts in regional and international forums, especially with regard to issues of common interest."
