Al-Halbousi: Anbar will remain Iraq's western gateway and its impregnable fortress

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, confirmed today, Thursday, that Anbar Governorate will remain Iraq’s western gateway and its impregnable fortress.

Al-Halbousi stated in a tweet followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “we followed the national and Arab positions of His Eminence Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr (may God bless him) regarding Palestine, the issue of Arabs and Muslims.”.

He added, "We affirm that Anbar will remain Iraq's western gateway and its impregnable fortress, and its honest people will not allow its homeland to be a scene for implementing the suspicious and unacceptable agendas of those who try to tamper with its security, and those that target the hopes of our Palestinian Arab people to establish their state with Holy Jerusalem as its capital.".
