The General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring announced on Thursday, that a 3.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded northeast of Shaqlawah in Erbil.
The observatory report stated, according to a statement by the Ministry of Transportation received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the earthquake was recorded at 11:32 pm on Thursday local time, with a magnitude of 3.5, and it was 5 km northeast of Shaqlawah in Erbil Governorate.”
The report noted that "it was not felt by some citizens."
