5 wanted persons arrested for terrorizing citizens in Baghdad

    The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced on Monday, the arrest of 5 wanted men who were intimidating citizens and firing shots in the capital, Baghdad.
     
    The agency stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that it "received accurate information about the presence of five people who are intimidating citizens by carrying out actions that threaten the security and safety of citizens."
     
    The statement added, "Immediately, an intelligence team was formed, accompanied by a special force, to search and investigate this group the force was able to chase them, raid their homes, and arrest them."
     
    It pointed out that "the force, upon searching their homes, seized a weapon such as a pistol, a hand grenade, and a quantity of crystal narcotic substances and tools for using them," noting that "the defendants frankly admitted that they had intimidated citizens and possessed these weapons and narcotic substances they were referred for investigation in order to bring them before justice."
