PM's offering condolences to the families of the victims of Al-Hamdaniya tragic fire incident:

On behalf of the government and all Iraqis, I offer heartfelt condolences and stand in solidarity with the Al-Hamdaniya District community after the tragic fire incident that claimed many lives.

This heart-wrenching incident has deeply affected all Iraqis, as we witness a wave of sorrow and empathy sweeping across our nation, reinforcing our bonds of unity and brotherhood.

Negligence and a lack of accountability demand our immediate attention, and it is our duty to address and rectify this significant issue. 

Immediately following the fire incident, I directed the Ministers of Interior and Health to be on-site, investigate the incident, oversee medical care for the injured, and assist in the recovery efforts for the victims. We maintained constant communication with the Governor of Nineveh throughout this process.

The investigations will identify those responsible for negligence, particularly in the construction of a building lacking safety standards.

The legal report indicates that negligence is evident in the construction of a building that violated regulations, necessitating action from the administrative unit head and relevant departments.

 Our government maintains a strict policy of zero tolerance for negligence among state employees.

The tragic fire incident resulted in numerous casualties and injuries, and those responsible for negligence will be held accountable under the law.

I personally visited the injured individuals at Al-Jumhuri and Al-Hamdaniya hospitals, and I instructed the Ministry of Health and relevant authorities to ensure they receive comprehensive medical treatment.

Based on medical reports from the Ministry of Health, we will arrange for the transfer of the injured individuals outside of Iraq for further treatment.

We are committed to utilizing all available government resources to support the families of the victims and the injured, offering compensation for the hardships caused by this tragic fire incident.

This incident serves as an opportunity for unity, solidarity, and reinforcing the values of coexistence that bind us together. We must stand united and leverage our collective strengths during this challenging time.
