The financial adviser to Prime Minister Dr. Mudher M. Salih stressed on Saturday that the government's vision is based on the sustainability of financing investment projects away from oil.

Salih told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Economic Reform Bill, which the Council of Ministers has already discussed in the past months, represents the government's vision formulated by the ministerial program, which is based on a principle of partnership between the state and the private sector, in order to achieve a major transition in financing investment projects and a high financing sustainability in which the private sector contributes by these projects and financial surpluses, away from the restrictions imposed by the fluctuations of the oil asset cycle and dependence on the unilateralism of the oil supplier in financing development."

He added that " The Economic Reform Bill is considered as philosophical basis of the Iraq Development Fund, which is one of the important executive arms of the economic reform law and represents the essence of the partnership between the state's economy and the market economy," pointing out that "The National Strategy for Private Sector Development, which has already been approved and is important in raising the contribution of market activity to GDP to over 50% of GDP in a decade, rather than its current situation, which still contributes less than 37% to the composition of that national output.

Salih explained that "economic diversification and abandoning the unilateralism of the rentier economy requires a reform law in which the leadership of the productive national market is immersed in the process of economic construction of Iraq along with the role of the state in development and with effective partnerships required by the next economic advancement in Iraq, which was launched in the Iraq's strategic economic program, which is the path of development.
