PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed on Tuesday, the importance of convening the Iraq-Ukraine Joint Committee to enhance economic and trade cooperation.
Al-Sudani received a phone call from Zelenskyy, who extended an official invitation to attend the Ukraine Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland next month, according to a statement by the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News agency - INA.
The call included discussions on bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of convening the Iraq-Ukraine Joint Committee to enhance economic and trade cooperation. The conversation also covered cooperation in the fields of food security and energy.
The two leaders discussed the activities of Ukrainian companies operating in Iraq in addition to the government's steps and measures to provide an ideal investment environment that encourages work and investment.
