Kirkuk Criminal Court issued on Tuesday, a death sentence against a terrorist for the crime of affiliating to the terrorist groups since 2014 and in the fighting against the security forces.
“Kirkuk Criminal Court issued a death sentence against a terrorist for the crime of belonging to terrorist groups since 2014 and participating in the fighting against the security forces," stated The Supreme Judicial Council-SJC in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA.
The statement added, "The terrorist belonged to terrorist groups and worked as a responsible leader in what is known as (Hisbah) and (Security), as well as participating in the arrest and killing of a number of citizens."
The statement continued, “the terrorist blew up a citizen's house and flogged another (forty lashes) because he was smoking cigarettes," pointing out that "the ruling against him comes in accordance with the provisions of Article Four/1 and in accordance with Articles Two/1, 3, 5, 7, and 8 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005."
