The Popular Mobilization Authority announced relief for brothers in Libya after Hurricane Daniel.
The authority stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that, “Under the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, the Popular Mobilization Forces humanitarian relief convoy that set off to the brothers in Libya returned this evening, Saturday, after Hurricane Daniel struck the country, causing many human and material losses.” The Iraqi delegation was received by the Libyan Minister of Defense, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Investment.
"The air convoy that launched with two planes from Baghdad is heading to Beninah Airport in Benghazi, carrying medical supplies, baby milk, tents, and blankets that will be distributed to the affected Libyan brothers."
The official of the Popular Mobilization Forces convoy for Iraqi relief to Libya, Dr. Alaa Al-Ibrahimi, said, according to the statement, “The Iraqi delegation listened to all the needs of the responsible authorities in Libya, which are the demands for medical support and rescue teams, and they will be delivered to the Iraqi officials so that support for the Libyan brothers increases.”
It is noteworthy that the convoy included a delegation from the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was sent by Iraqi army aviation.
