Barcelona's coach, Xavi Hernandez, confirmed that he will not pose any problem for the Catalan club regarding his contract with the team.
Xavi said in statements reported by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo: “I talked about extending my contract with the president and Deco, but for me performance is what is important.”.
He added, "If there are no clear goals at the end of the season, it is not worth concluding a long contract. It is about performance and winning titles.".
He concluded, "I will not pose any problem for FC Barcelona. When we see that my continuation as coach is not right, I will leave, and the renewal of my contract will be announced within a few days, without a doubt.".
Several press reports indicate that Xavi has an agreement with the Barcelona administration to extend his current contract with the club until 2025.
