The Ministry of Industry confirmed Friday, that it had received investment offers for strategic projects by foreign, Arab and local companies.
Ministry spokeswoman Doha Al-Jubouri said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “After the end of the Mineral, Petrochemical, and Fertilizer Investment Conference, in which more than 30 strategic opportunities were promoted and announced in several governorates, with a total investment volume of up to 10 billion dollars, many offers wishing to participate and from various local, Arab and foreign companies were received.”
She added, “These offers were studied by the relevant formations and negotiated with their owners, as some of them reached the stage of being referred, such as the General Phosphate Company and the General Mishraq Sulfur Company, and others reached the referral to the owner of the best offers technically and economically, such as the General Companies for the Southern and Northern Fertilizers Manufacturing, we are awaiting to obtain the necessary legal approvals to proceed with it."
