The head of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce FICC, Abdul Razzaq Al-Zuhairi, discussed on Wednesday, with the committee formed by the customs order, opening horizons for cooperation with Dubai ports and establishing transit of goods through Iraq.
A statement by the media office of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that “head of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, Abd al-Razzaq al-Zuhairi, participated in the meetings of the committee formed by the Diwani order, headed by Lieutenant General Sami al-Sudani, advisor to the Prime Minister for ports, customs and transport affairs, and membership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Authority for Customs and the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce.”
The statement added “The meeting was held in order to open horizons for cooperation with Dubai Ports and to conduct transit of goods through Iraq, which was signed with all neighboring countries to allow the passage of trucks through Iraqi territory, and to exchange experiences."
It also continued, "The meeting discussed cooperation with Dubai Ports regarding joint ventures with this large company, which is expected to have contributions inside Iraq."
