Al-Halbousi receives the Austrian Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation

Speaker of Parliament , Muhammad Al-Halbousi, affirmed on Tuesday,  the keenness to support the government’s work to continue expanding its relations with friendly countries and achieving economic partnerships in various sectors and strategic projects.

The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, and his accompanying delegation."

The statement added, "The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and the development of cooperation in a number of fields, including security, economy, and transportation, in addition to cooperation at the parliamentary level, activating friendship committees, and exchanging experiences."
Al-Halbousi stressed, according to the statement, “Parliament is keen to support the government to continue expanding its relations with friends and achieving economic partnerships in various sectors and strategic projects."

The statement continued, "The guest minister conveyed the greetings of speaker of Austrian Parliament, Wolfgang Sobotka, to the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and his desire for parliamentary cooperation.

 He also expressed his country's readiness to strengthen its relations with Iraq and develop cooperation in all fields."
