Hassani: PM repositioning focusing on disadvantaged areas in Baghdad and provinces

    The Government Service and Engineering Effort Team confirmed on Tuesday, that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani directed that the team’s work be resumed by focusing on disadvantaged areas in the capital and the governorates, pointing out that he will chair a meeting soon to review the team’s detailed plan in Baghdad.

    "The Prime Minister repositioning focusing on disadvantaged areas in Baghdad and provinces, and not going to other security, educational or other duties, and this guidance was needed to focus only on residential areas." 

    Al-Hassani added, “The service effort team focuses its work on improving the reality of disadvantaged areas and raising the level of services in them, including paving, sidewalks, water, electricity, sewage, and clean streets."

    He pointed out, "The team is working to provide rapid services in slum areas, which are numerous and there have been accumulations over the years. They require more work and will not be resolved overnight. They require diligent work, long-term plans, and sufficient funds."

    He pointed out that "the work of the Service Effort Team is part of the government program that aims to improve services in residential areas and informal settlements called slums."

    Al-Hassani announced, “Initiating a plan in the regions of Tal Afar, the Nineveh Plain, southern Nineveh, and Babil Governorate,” warning that “the Prime Minister will chair a meeting soon to review our detailed plan in Baghdad, which is based on services only."
