The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, confirmed today, Monday, that the Arbaeen visit witnessed special and distinguished care and follow-up by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani.
The movement’s media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The Secretary-General of the movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad, Sheikh Mohsen al-Araki, member of the presidency of the Council of Experts for Leadership in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and a professor at the seminary in the city of Holy Qom.”
The statement added, "Al-Araki praised the great success witnessed by Arbaeen millionth visit this year," stressing that "the resounding success is credited to the government and people of Iraq, for their great efforts in hosting visitors and meeting their needs at both the official and popular levels."
Al-Araki called for "the necessity of developing long-term programs and plans to accommodate the increasing number of visitors every year."
In turn, Sheikh Khazali stressed that “the success witnessed by Arbaeen millionth visit would not have been possible without the blessings of Imam Hussein and his family (peace be upon them), and the firm belief in the hearts of Iraqis in the Husseini cause.”
"This year's visit witnessed special and distinguished official sponsorship and follow-up by the government of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, which resulted in overcoming many of the obstacles that visitors faced in previous years." Sheikh Khazali said.
