PM: Hosting Arbaeen pilgrims is an affirmation for Iraqis commitment to noble virtues and values

    PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, received a phone call from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi.

    At the outset of the phone call, Raisi expressed his gratitude to the people and government of Iraq for their care and hospitality extended to the pilgrims commemorating the Arba'een of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). He highly appreciated the remarkable efforts made at all levels, seeing them as further proof of Iraq's stability and its commitment to national development. He viewed these efforts as a message of love and peace from Iraq to the entire world, according to a statement by the PM Media Office received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    Al-Sudani emphasized that the hospitality and care extended to the Arbaeen pilgrims represent an annual affirmation by the Iraqi people of their commitment to the noble virtues and values brought by the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

    The two highlighted the significance of bilateral relations and their role in regional stability, as well as the cultural and religious ties between the two nations. Iraq's ability to foster understanding and cooperation among regional countries was also emphasized during the call.
