From Karbala, PM Al-Sudani issues directives regarding the Arbaeen visit Service Plan

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani chaired on Tuesday, upon his arrival in the holy city of Karbala, a meeting to follow up the implementation of the service and security plan for the pilgrimage, commemorating Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein and his companions (peace be upon them).

    The meeting occured in the presence of the Minister of Interior / Chairman of the Higher Security Committee, the Minister of Health and the Minister of Electricity, Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Pilgrimage, the Governor of Karbala, and a number of officials of the relevant service departments and security institutions, according to a statement by the PM Media Office, receieved by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    Al-Sudani stressed that the considerable and exceptional efforts made by all state departments and institutions, with their various specializations and roles. A plan has been developed and coordinated within a clear plan, which was prepared early within extensive proactive preparations.

    The Prime Minister also indicated that "the state has harnessed all its capabilities in order to provide service to citizens everywhere, and in all circumstances."

    Al-Sudani commended the dedicated efforts of our security forces and all government agencies and their employees, emphasizing the need to maintain the same level of determination and continuous commitment to ensure the smooth and orderly completion of the pilgrimage until the return of the last pilgrim.

    Prime Minister Al-Sudani expressed his gratitude for the contributions of citizens from all Iraqi governorates and the Husseini processions along the pilgrims' routes to Karbala. He acknowledged their vital role in ensuring the success of the pilgrimage, taking care of the pilgrims, and providing them with the necessary support and comfort.

    During the meeting, the Prime Minister received detailed presentations on transport management, healthcare, and the provision of electricity and fuel for the pilgrimage. He directed that service preparations be made according to the identified needs and that provisions for emergency situations be in place. Additionally, strategic plans for upcoming pilgrimages were discussed by the Permanent Committee.
