PM Al-Sudani directs the release of detainees during the Kirkuk incidents

INA - BAGHDAD 

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, directed the release of detainees in the recent events in Kirkuk.

“The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, directed the release of those detained in the recent Kirkuk events," said the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, in a brief statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

PM confirmed that "the elements who committed the attacks in Kirkuk will meet their just punishment, noting that the security forces are committed to protecting the people of Kirkuk."
