PM Meets Kirkuk Parliament Members in the Presence of Second Deputy Speaker

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani received today several Members of Parliament from Kirkuk Governorate, representing its diverse components, in the presence of the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Shakhwan Abdullah.
 
During the meeting, they discussed the recent developments in Kirkuk and reviewed the local situation in the city and the key factors necessary to uphold security, stability, and social harmony in the province, known for its rich cultural diversity and Iraqi unity.
 
 Al-Sudani emphasized that those responsible for the attacks and attempts to incite unrest and strife will face legal consequences in line with the law.
 
Prime Minister Al-Sudani assured that the security forces in Kirkuk, comprising various branches and agencies, are dedicated to safeguarding the well-being of the province's residents. They will uphold the residents' rights to a decent life, freedom of expression, and a secure environment marked by inclusivity and respect for one another, which is a hallmark of the Kirkuk community.
