Intelligence Agency: Two accused of drug dealing were arrested in Baghdad

    The Intelligence Agency announced on Sunday, the arrest of two defendants who used their home to trade drugs in Baghdad.
     
    The agency said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "detachments of the Intelligence Agency in Baghdad Al-Rusafa received accurate information about two people exploiting their home to sell and abuse drugs."
      “Immediately, an intelligence team was formed to investigate and collect the necessary information about this house and the persons who sell and use drugs, and after all investigations were completed and legal approvals were obtained, the intelligence agency detachments in Baghdad, Al-Rusafa, which specializes in combating terrorism, were able to arrest the people inside the house and seize a quantity of narcotic drugs and paraphernalia.
     According to the statement “The defendants confessed that they used drugs, sold it to addicts, and implicated young people by deceiving them. Their statements were recorded and they were referred to the relevant authorities in preparation for their appearance before the judiciary to receive their just punishment."
