PM stresses the need for everyone's commitment to maintaining civil peace in Kirkuk

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani stressed today, Sunday, the need for all political parties in Kirkuk to commit to preserving civil peace and avoiding falling into any strife.
     
     
    The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ Al-Sudani, chaired the thirty-sixth regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which the overall developments in the general situation of the country were discussed, and the basic files listed within the government’s priorities were also addressed, in addition to discussing the topics on the agenda and making decisions regarding it.”
      "At the beginning of the session, Prime Minister reiterated the need for all political parties in Kirkuk to commit to preserving civil peace, avoiding falling into any strife, and not rely on the logic of violence and clashes that negatively reflect on the general situation in Iraq."
     
    Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, “his directives that he issued yesterday to the competent authorities not to hesitate to hold all those responsible for the deaths and injuries accountable in accordance with the law, after completing investigations and revealing the circumstances of the unfortunate events.”
