5 wanted persons arrested in Baghdad and Diyala: SMC

The Security Media Cell SMC announced on Sunday the arrest of 5 wanted individuals in terrorism cases in Baghdad and Diyala.
 
 
According to a statement by SMC received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), " the detachments of the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency specialized in combating terrorism in Baghdad next to Karkh, and within the intelligence information included the presence of three wanted persons in accordance with the provisions of Article IV of the fight against terrorism, and after follow-up and investigation of the required objectives and a tight ambush, the accused were arrested.
 
The statement added that" the accused belonged to ISIS gangs, "noting that" their statements were recorded and referred to the competent investigative authorities to bring them to justice to get their fair punishment.
 
 
In the same context, SMC stated in another statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Commando Regiment of the rapid reaction squad at the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Intelligence Department of the squad, managed to arrest two drug dealers, one of whom holds a foreign nationality in the checkpoint of Haruniya in the Muqdadiya district in Diyala province".
 
It continued that "narcotic substances were seized in their possession," pointing to "handing over the accused with the seizures to the competent authorities.
