The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA announced, on Sunday, the arrest of 8 accused of intentional murders in Najaf.
A statement by FIIA received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "in accordance with the directives of Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari to pursue gangs of outlaws, the detachments of FIIA specialized in combating terrorism in Najaf province in the past 72 hours, and through the follow-up and pursuit of targets that fall within its interests, managed to arrest 8 accused of premeditated murder and wanted in accordance with the provisions of Article 406".
It added that " seizure reports were organized with narcotic substances and weapons, and the defendants were referred to the competent authorities to refer them to the judiciary to receive their fair punishment".
