The Iraqi Red Crescent Society announced today, Thursday, the launch of a health awareness campaign in the governorates most affected by climate change.
A statement of the association received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "In cooperation with the Prime Minister's Office, a major health awareness campaign will be launched in the governorates most affected by climate changes and the spread of diseases, especially hemorrhagic fever, and medical and emergency services and health awareness will be provided free of charge.".
The statement added, "The campaign will start on 7/31/2023 with the participation of 150 volunteers, 10 ambulances, and 5 mobile medical hospitals in the governorates, at a rate of 5 days in each governorate (Muthanna / Diwaniyah / Najaf / Babil / Wasit / Maysan / Basra / Dhi Qar / Baghdad." )".
