Al-Halbousi receives Yemeni Foreign Minister, and his accompanying delegation

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi confirmed on Sunday, that Iraq hopes for the return of stability and security in Yemen.

The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received, today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, and his accompanying delegation," noting that "the relations between the two brotherly countries, developments in the region and Yemen, and joint cooperation for the security of the region were discussed."

Al-Halbousi affirmed, "Iraq hopes for the return of stability and security in brotherly Yemen and supports all efforts in this regard."

For his part, the Yemeni Foreign Minister indicated that "his visit to Baghdad comes in order to strengthen and advance relations between the two countries," conveying the greetings of the Yemeni Parliament Speaker, Sultan Saeed Abdullah Al-Barakani."

 The statement praised "Iraq's positive role in the regional and international issues taking place in the region."
