The border ports authority announced on Sunday the seizure of a foreign traveler in possession of a narcotic substance at the zerbatya border crossing.
A statement of the authority received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the authority continues to seize drugs and prevent their passage through the ports, where a foreign national traveler was seized in possession of the narcotic substance (opium).
"The seizure was carried out by the anti-drug division, the Port Protection Force and the customs police drug detachment in the passenger lounge," he added.
"A committee has been formed, a thorough seizure report has been organized, and the accused has been referred to the anti-drug division in Badra to take appropriate legal measures," he added.
