Rashid stresses the importance of upgrading the level of bilateral work with Iran to face climate change

     President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed on Sunday the importance of upgrading the level of bilateral work with Iran to confront climate change.
     
    A statement by the presidency of the republic received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the president of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at the Baghdad Palace, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al Sadeq ".
     
    Rashid stressed, during the meeting, according to the statement, "the need to strengthen and develop cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves the interests of the two neighboring peoples," noting the importance of upgrading the level of bilateral work aimed at addressing climate change, water scarcity and drought facing the world.
     
    For his part, Ambassador Al Sadeq stressed "the Islamic Republic of Iran's quest to strengthen friendly relations with Iraq," calling for "opening wider horizons for bilateral cooperation to achieve stability and prosperity of the two friendly countries".
