Interior minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari, on Friday, stressed the good treatment of demonstrators and commitment to duty.

A statement from the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "Al-Shammari visited the law enforcement command, accompanied by a number of his advisers, and the commander of the federal police forces and was briefed on the progress of duties and tasks performed by this command, stressing on" Good dealing with demonstrators, as well as commitment to the rights of the demonstrator in conjunction with full commitment to duty and maintaining security and public and private property.

"Al-Shammari made a set of recommendations that would develop the work of these forces, and listened to a briefing on the latest activities and duties assigned to them," the statement added.
