Deputy Speaker of Parliament: we support the government's actions against the Swedish Embassy

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Shakhwan Abdullah confirmed on Friday his support for the government's measures against the Swedish Embassy.

The media office of the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency(INA): "in the strongest terms, we condemn the repeated abuse of the Holy Quran, and that the Swedish government's allowing extremists to openly transgress and attack the heavenly books and encroach on the Iraqi flag and religious and national symbols is a provocation and insolence.

"We support the actions of the federal government and the position of the Ministry of foreign affairs towards the Swedish Embassy, and what happened is a hateful hostile act that encourages racism and hatred and must be stopped, and the Swedish government should apologize to the Islamic nation and punish extremists with the law," he added.
