    Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein discussed with the Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy to Iraq, David Burger, a number of important issues, including the issue of energy and gas and issues related to the relationship of the center and the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
     
     
    A statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received, on Tuesday, the Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy to Iraq, David Burger," noting that "the minister stressed during the meeting the importance of the relations between the two countries in many areas of mutual interest, pointing to the need to strengthen and develop it in a way that serves common interests.
    According to the statement "The most important files of bilateral cooperation between Iraq and the United States of America were reviewed, in addition to the most important developments at the regional and international levels, and the two sides discussed a number of important issues, including the issue of energy and gas, and issues related to the relationship of the center and the Kurdistan region of Iraq."
    For his part, the US Chargé d'Affaires confirmed the United States' keenness to achieve political and economic stability at the level of Iraq and the region, and the importance of achieving the best services for the Iraqi people, reiterating his country's government's support for the security and stability of Iraq, expressing his country's aspiration to strengthen the existing bilateral relations between the two countries.
